Last Night as a Free Woman

I can't believe it's been an entire year since my bachelorette party. It was a fun night...what I remember of it. Some of my favorite girls and I got a hotel in downtown Dallas and went out on the town for the night. Most of my closest girl friends live in Oklahoma, so not everyone was able to make it...you know, babies at home and whatnot. But several of my very favorites did show, and I am so glad they did.

It had all the makings of a top notch bachelorette: ridiculous games, naughty straws, an incredibly inappropriate cake, a supercreepy blow up doll, plenty of drinks, and fun girls. We started out the evening in the hotel room, which was actually a huge suite, where we played games, had drinks, and they completely humiliated me by making me model all of the lingerie that they bought me. Nice ladies....I'll remember that.

After that, we headed out to dinner at a crazy Mexican restaurant that was the most fun place I've ever eaten. I had the honor of dancing on stage with the band while playing the tambourine for awhile. Then they started a huge conga line all throughout the restaurant, out onto the street, and when we passed back through the door to come back inside, someone was standing on a table pouring tequila down our throats. Insanity.

After that lovely meal, we went out...and things are a bit hazy. I know there was plenty of drinking, plenty of dancing, and lots and lots of good times. Even though we didn't go anywhere extravagant or do anything out of the ordinary, it was a wonderful night. Too bad I only get one of these in a lifetime, right?
