Our Uneventful 4th of July

Somehow the 4th of July being on a Wednesday really threw me off. I couldn't really get into things. I ended up sleeping way later than what I planned, and then I just couldn't really wake up all day.

We went to the gym for the first time in forever, so that felt really good. When we got home we went on a nice little walk with Addie. Everything is so gorgeous outside right now. It's at that perfect time of year before everything starts dying and the grass turns all brown from the horrible heat.

Then we went and ate at Cheesecake Factory and undid any good that we could have possibly done at the gym or on our walk. After consuming approximately 2000 calories, we went to the movies and saw Ted. Arsen really liked it, and there were definitely some funny parts, but some of it was a little too much for me. Seeing that sweet little teddy bear in some of those situations was a bit disturbing. It was one of those kind of stupid-funny movies that you have to really be in the mood for. But I did get a few good laughs out of it, so no complaints.

The good news is the random day off should make the rest of this week go super quickly! Only two days until the weekend, thank goodness. Our friends Katie and Q are visiting again with their pup Oliver, so I'm pretty excited about that. Love having something to look forward to on the weekends...makes the work much more enjoyable :) Have a great rest of the week!

  3. It really didn't feel too much like a holiday. And we pretty much did the same thing yesterday. Slept in, gym, then ruined it by eating way too much. Let's hope the rest of the week goes by fast!

  7. The 4th being in the middle of the week threw me off, too. I had a good time, but I feel like I got to have two Mondays at work today and that sorta stunk.

  8. I totally know what you mean about having to be in one of "those" moods to like a movie like Ted. I haven't seen it, but it seems like it's one of those kinds of movies. Maybe I'll wait for it to come out on Netflix lol.
