Lesson Learned

So I had planned on coming home yesterday from our Thanksgiving trip to OK and getting a lot of stuff done. I would start the laundry, pick up the house, and write a blog post that I really wanted to go up this morning.

Yeah.

So I got home....and went to bed. Grayson and I were both in bed by 9 PM last night. And that little angel baby of mine let me sleep until 7:45 this morning. It was amazing. But I didn't get a single thing done. Therefore, you're getting a very short, very unimportant post this morning. So I've learned that if I have something I need to post the day after a weekend out of town....I should probably write it before I get home and am so exhausted I can barely function. Noted.

This week at some point I plan on telling you all about G's first Thanksgiving, filling you in on our plans for the weekend (we've got something really fun planned for Friday), and sharing my holiday wish list with you. But today....today I've got to tackle the mountain of laundry we created over the last few days (seriously, how do two adults and a baby produce so. much. laundry?), take Grayson to get his second flu shot which I HATE, and probably go buy some groceries. A glamorous day in the life of a stay at home mom if I've ever seen one.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are having a great start to the week. I'll be back tomorrow with something a little more interesting.

And because a post is nothing without a photo, here's the only Instagram photo I took over the long weekend. I'm telling you, I've been a lazy, lazy lady the past few days.

  2. We got back yesterday at 6:30 yesterday evening after a long weekend away also. I had major plans to get so much stuff done but Turner had other plans as he was so fussy from teething and could not be consoled. Went to bed early also and now I am actually staying home today since I feel like crap. I'm actually working a few hours from home. Turner still went to daycare though since I have so much to go done also...work a bit, laundry, grocery shopping, etc. You should just come to MN and and help a sister out ;)!!! Happy Monday!!!!
